Ar.IDr Chris Yap SC is the founder and Group Chairman of Spatial Factors Design Group (SFDG), which specializes in retail design, commercial office interiors, resorts, specialty food and beverage outlets, residential architecture, and master planning projects. He was among the first local architects to venture into interior design due to the economic downturn of the 1990s and the lack of architectural works. Yap pursued a mission to bring together the two professions in the building industry and create higher status and recognition for the Interior Design profession. This led to the ""dual practice"" business model, which is now common among Architectural and Interior Design practitioners today. Ar.IDr Chris Yap SC was the Initiator, Co-Founder, President, and Past President of the Malaysian Institute of Interior Designers (MIID), a national level body for Interior Designers and Architects. He is also the Founding President and Board Member of the registered Asia - Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA), a regional Interior Design grouping for national level bodies throughout the Asia-Pacific region. He currently serves as the Chancellor of the APSDA College of Fellows Committee and holds multiple Fellow Membership statuses in MIID, APSDA, and PAM. He is also a Board Member of Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (Board of Architects Malaysia) for five terms since 2015, and has co-authored the Green Building Index ID Rating Tools, LAM's Interior Design Accreditation Manual for Institutions of Higher Learning, and the MIID – PAM Interior Design Works Contract 2023.

Dato’ Seri TPr Maimunah Mohd Sharif is the Mayor of Kuala Lumpur and Malaysia’s Special Envoy for Sustainable Urbanisation. Appointed in 2024 as the city’s first woman mayor, she leads efforts to achieve carbon neutrality by 2040 through her CATEE policy framework—ensuring City Hall is Competent, Accountable, Transparent, Efficient, and Effective. Ar. Adrianta Aziz is a prominent Malaysian architect and educator, currently serving as the President of Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM) for the 2024–2026 term. He graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) in 1997 and completed his postgraduate studies in Architecture and Urban Design at Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom, in 1999. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2000, Ar. Adrianta embarked on a wide-ranging architectural career, involved in diverse projects, and is presently engaged in place-making initiatives with various local authorities across the country. A Certified Trainer, Ar. Adrianta has been instrumental in developing learning platforms such as BeAr, LAP, ReLAP, and PPW. Through these, he has played a significant role in mentoring and guiding over 800 young architects toward professional registration over the past 15 years. His efforts have greatly contributed to shaping the future of architectural professionalism in Malaysia. He previously served as PAM Education Committee Chairman (2021–2023) and was the Immediate Past Chairman of the ARCASIA Committee on Architectural Education (ACAE), continuing to influence architectural education and discourse at regional and international levels. Mikako Oshima is a senior architect at Nihon Sekkei, Inc. Since joining the firm in 2012, she has provided leadership for developing creative ideas, infusing beauty, and enhancing quality of life in every design challenge she faces. Prior to joining Nihon Sekkei she worked in the world-renowned offices of Skidmore Owing and Merrill (New York), Eisenman Architects, and Fanule Architecture in Paris. Oshima has worked as an architect on a wide variety of projects throughout the United States, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Japan, including a five star hotel, commercial, large-scale mixed-use, transportation terminals and airports, stadia, and education facilities. She has given speeches and lectures at universities and forums throughout Asia, and enjoys being a design critic for architecture schools.

A graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU) in 1987, he began his career at Jurubena Bertiga International (JBIS), where he honed his skills over five formative years. A pioneer in the integration of sculptural elements into architectural design, Ar. Azim is known for creating spaces that leave lasting impressions on users and clients alike. Dr Tan Loke Mun’s architecture is Green and Tropical. Dr Tan is a prominent award winning Architect and is well regarded as a visionary and a bit of a maverick. He is Adjunct Professor of Architecture, Universiti Malaya. With a career spanning more than 30 years, Dr Tan’s works are widely published and his practice is amongst the most awarded in the region. He is the recipient of the prestigious Kington Loo Gold Medal and the Professional Excellence Award 2024. Other significant architectural awards include the ASEAN Energy Award, Futurarc Green Leadership Award and numerous PAM and REKA Awards. He has managed to juggle a prolific career as an architect, interior designer and master planner whilst at the same time contributing extensively to the profession. He was the President of the Malaysian Institute of Architects (PAM) 2005-07, Team Leader responsible for setting up the Green Building Index (GBI) rating tool for Malaysia in 2009, a long-standing member of the Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) from 2003. He has successfully interpreted and translated tropical regional metaphors into his architecture and masterplans. The multi-award winning GBI Platinum rated S11 House is one of his biggest ideological successes.

Thus, succession planning is a critical yet often overlooked component of running a successful architectural practice. It ensures the continuity of leadership, values and expertise, while safeguarding the firm’s legacy and client relationships. The presentation will cover the definition of succession planning, challenges, steps for effective succession planning and some case studies. It will also highlight some succession models in architecture practices.

Takbir Fatima is the Director of DesignAware, an experimental architecture studio based in Hyderabad and Dubai. She founded the Fractals Workshop and BuildAware, initiatives exploring generative design and fabrication. An Adjunct Faculty at Boston Architectural College and CEPT University, she is also Senior Curator at the Museum of Science Fiction. Takbir won the Regenerative Futures AI Design Competition (2023), exhibiting at SPACE10 Copenhagen and delivering a keynote at the UIA World Congress of Architects. She was invited to exhibit at the India Art, Architecture & Design Biennale 2023 and is featured in 100 Women: Architects in Practice (RIBA). Abdul Shakir, also known as 'Grasshopper,' is an interdisciplinary multimedia digital artist. As one of the co-founders of Filamen, a new media art collective, Shakir focuses on creating awe-inspiring projection mapping, light installation, and interactive installation projects. Drawing on his vast experience in both post-production and production agencies, Shakir has worked on a wide range of design and art projects, including graphic design, motion graphics, projection mapping, and interactive installation. His works are being showcased at prominent international venues in Singapore, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong, Spain, and the USA. Mond Qu is a Melbourne-based designer, spatial strategist, and creative director who operates at the nexus of architecture, technology, and storytelling. As the founder of UnitedMake, a multidisciplinary studio established in 2013, Mond leads a team dedicated to exploring the future of design through experimentation, material intelligence, and immersive narratives. With a background in architecture and a deep interest in both digital and material cultures, Mond’s work spans interactive installations, modular furniture systems, speculative urbanism, and digital media environments. His practice fluidly bridges the physical and the virtual—crafting experiences that are as tactile as they are conceptual. Elena Denisenko is an Associate Professor and Deputy Director at the Institute of Design and Spatial Arts, Kazan Federal University, Russia. With a PhD in Architecture, her expertise lies in spatial design, bioarchitecture, and cultural heritage preservation. She leads the Conceptual Design Laboratory and has extensive experience in higher education, international collaboration, and architectural research. Elena has taught at several institutions including the Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering and participated in global academic exchanges such as ERASMUS+. Her scholarly work includes numerous publications and projects on urban revitalization, adaptive reuse, and green design. She has presented at international conferences and received recognition from various government ministries for her contributions to architecture and education.

Sze-ee Lee embarked on her academic career in 2018 as a senior lecturer at the School of Architecture, Building, and Design (SABD), Taylor's University in Malaysia. She completed her Postgraduate Certificate in Teaching and Learning in 2020, and PhD in 2024, focusing on interdisciplinary research into the evolving career paths of 21st-century architects. Her research interests encompass social, heritage, and sustainable architecture. In addition to her academic role, Sze-ee is also a practicing architect with over 15 years of diverse experience in residential, commercial, and institutional projects, both locally and overseas. She has worked with international architectural firms in Sydney and London before returning to Malaysia in 2011. Mohamadreza Ghodousi (born in 16 September 1976) is an Iranian architect and the founder of ZAV Architects in 2006. He was well-known in Iran with Barbod Fruit House (2008, also featured in the New York Times at the time) and Pedari Hotel (2011) as a young architect with peculiar projects, and as a contributor to the Iranian architectural magazine Memar. In the following years, he became prominent in the alternative architectural scene of Iran after completing Habitat for Orphan Girls (2014), Farsh Film Studio (2017) and Rong Cultural Center (2017). In these years ZAV did various projects all over Iran, focusing on creating shifts in its architecture by exploring social and economic resources in small communities and subculture circles. Having previously won several international awards, ZAV became more internationally acclaimed with Majara Residence in 2020 and is on the path of operating globally. Mohamadreza Ghodousi has also been always involved in pedagogical activities besides his practices during these years.

As an Associate Principal with a keen focus on Design, Zakiah constantly pushes the boundaries of architectural expression, continually challenging the notion of what constitutes good design. Zakiah champions the role of Architects in the design process and having worked in Europe and East Asia, Zakiah is well versed in the importance of context, culture and climate in achieving good design outcomes. At Populous, Zakiah has contributed to many large-scale stadium, arena, COEX and Aviation projects that have significant impacts on their environment, and places high importance in understanding and addressing social and environmental needs in curating memorable experiences and drawing people together.

Chris Wong received his architectural education at the University of Houston and the University of Cambridge. His professional experience includes working for Skidmore Owens and Merill in Houston in 1984-5 and Eric Parry Architects in London up till 1991 when he obtained his registration with the Architects Registration Board, UK. He founded C’arch architecture + design in 1992. Informed by Chris’s overseas experiences, the practice is structured with a large core of architects; complimented by a smaller support team to ensure that the design quality is maintained. His interest in photography, history, travel and diving compliments the exploration in his work and research.

An architect and engineer by training, Carlo Ratti works on the future of cities and the built environment. He is a Professor of the Practice of Urban Technologies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, where he directs the Senseable City Lab, and is a Full Professor in the Department of Architecture, Built Environment, and Construction Engineering at the Politecnico di Milano. He is a founding partner of the international architecture and innovation office CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and has established several tech start-ups in the United States and Europe. Ratti graduated from the Politecnico di Torino and the École Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées in Paris and later carried out his MPhil and Ph.D. work at the University of Cambridge - completing his Ph.D. thesis as a Fulbright Scholar at MIT. In December 2023, he was named as Curator of the Venice Biennale Architettura 2025. One of the top ten most-cited scholars in urban planning, Ratti has co-authored over 750 academic publications. Ratti’s work has been exhibited worldwide at venues including New York City's MoMA, the Venice Biennale, the Science Museum in London, Expo 2015 Milan, and Expo 2020 Dubai. His focus on many scales of innovation– from products to buildings to cities – has led CRA to become the only design firm in the world to feature on TIME’s “Best Inventions of the Year” list three different times (2007, 2014, 2019). He has appeared as one of “50 people who will change the world” according to Wired. Fast Company hailed him as one of the “Most Influential Designers in America,” and Blueprint Magazine listed him as one of its “People Who Will Change the World of Design.” Bloomberg dubbed him the “Sensory City Philosopher.”

Milinda Pathiraja is a Co-Founder of Robust Architecture Workshop (RAW), based in Colombo, Sri Lanka. He is also an Honorary Senior Fellow at the Faculty of Architecture, Building & Planning at the University of Melbourne, a Visiting Professor at the FAR lab of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne, Switzerland, and a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Architecture at the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. For his PhD research at the University of Melbourne, Milinda received the RIBA President’s Award, the CIOB Australasia Excellent Building Postgraduate (Research) Award in 2011, and the University of Melbourne Chancellor’s Prize for Excellence in 2012. In 2016, Milinda was selected as one of 88 world architects showcased in the international section of the 15th Architecture Biennale, held in Venice, Italy. He was also nominated for the Swiss Architectural Award in 2020 and 2024. His architecture firm, RAW, won the Global LafargeHolcim Awards Silver Prize in 2015, the regional Bronze Prize for Asia Pacific in 2014, and the LafargeHolcim Building Better Recognition Award in 2017. Beijing-born architect Ma Yansong is recognized as an important voice in the new generation of architects. He is the first Chinese architect to win an overseas landmark-building project. Ma is committed to developing futuristic, organic, and technologically-advanced designs that embody a contemporary interpretation of the Eastern affinity for nature. With a vision for the city of the future based in the spiritual and emotional needs of residents, he endeavors to create a balance between humanity, the city, and the environment. Founded MAD Architects in 2004, Ma leads design across various scales, including urban planning, urban complexes, municipal buildings, museums, theaters, concert halls, and housing, as well as art and design. In 2006, Ma was awarded the “Young Architects Award” by the Architectural League of New York. Fast Company respectively named him one of the “10 Most Creative People in Architecture in 2009”. In 2010 he became the first architect from China to receive a RIBA international fellowship. In 2014 he was awarded “Young Global Leaders (YGL)” by World Economic Forum. In 2015, he was listed as one of the “100 Most Creative People in Business” by Surface, and “30 Most Influential Chinese Architects” by Forbes. In 2016, he was honored as “Certificate of Recognition” by City od Los Angeles. From 2019 to 2021, he was awarded as “China’s Most Influential Designer” for three years by Architectural Digest. In 2022, MAD Architects was recognized as “Best Cultural Firm” by Fast Company, and became the first architectural firm to win this award in China. Ma holds a Master’s Degree in Architecture from Yale University, and a Bachelor’s degree from the Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture. Ma has taught in Beijing University of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Tsinghua University and University of Southern California. And he is teaching at Yale University now.

Architect Lee Kichul earned his Master of Architecture from the College of Environmental Design at UC Berkeley. He gained practical experience at Frederic Schwartz Architects in New York and Space Group in Korea, and in 2012, founded his own studio, Architect-K, which he continues to lead today. His work spans a wide range of typologies—from residential to public architecture, commercial spaces, and high-end hospitality. Starting with the AAWH (Songdo Residence), he has carried out several housing projects; experimental café architecture such as Two Triangle (Greetvi Seo-Saeng Branch) and Mijiui (Unknown); civic architecture including the Busan Mixed Innovation Center (BMIC) and Miryang Social Communication Center; and luxury accommodations such as the Capella Yangyang Hotel & Resort. His work consistently explores how contemporary lifestyles and architecture intersect and resonate. His architectural language takes root in a layered landscape where locality and globality, tradition and modernity, heterogeneity and hybridity intertwine. At these boundaries—where differing contexts overlap and collide—new spatial sensibilities begin to emerge. His architecture resists fixed form, instead unfolding as an open possibility shaped by its surroundings. Alan is a registered architect in Hong Kong with over 15 years of experience. He holds degrees in Architecture from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and a Master’s in Urban Analytics from the University of Hong Kong. After working with Rafael Viñoly Architects, Alan co-founded onebite in 2015, focusing on human-centric design, public space enhancement, and urban innovation using data analytics. His award-winning projects include Kai Yip Estate Playground and GREEN@COMMUNITY Recycling Stores. Alan also contributes to the profession through leadership roles in the Hong Kong Institute of Architects and CUHK Architecture Alumni Association, earning recognition as a “40 Under 40” in 2018.

Richard Wood is the Managing Director Asia at Snøhetta with a focus on developing the firm's projects and values throughout the Asia region. Richard has lived and worked in the region since 2012, designing and leading large public and institutional buildings, and urban planning projects throughout. Besides his design practice, Richard is also actively involved in architectural and design education, such as teaching at Hong Kong Polytechnic University School of Design, and keynote presentations at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, FIND Singapore 2024, Art Basel Hong Kong 2024 and among others. Richard received his Master of Architecture at the Bartlett School of Architecture, University College London, UK. He is a member of the Royal British Institute of Architects.

Alice Sabrina Ismail is an Associate Professor with over a decade of experience in architecture, focusing on ethnic heritage, cultural identity, Islamic architecture, and sustainability. She served as Director of UTM Architecture School (2019–2023) and is currently an Adjunct Professor at UNIMAS and a member of the Architecture Program Accreditation Panel (2022–2027). Born in Canada and raised in Kuala Lumpur, she earned her degrees from UTM and completed her PhD at QUT, Australia. As Founding Director of CASEH, she leads local and international efforts in heritage conservation, education reform, and community-based sustainable development. She is also the key researcher in leading the Future Direction of Malaysia Architecture Education (2020-2030) HPSN 2030 with the Ministry of Malaysia Higher Education (MOHE), Board of Malaysia Architects (LAM), MAPSM (Council of Malaysian Architecture Education) and COHAS (Council Heads of Architecture Schools). She has won local and national awards in the architectural field and is actively involved in many research projects and collaborations with prominent local agencies on heritage conservation such as the national museum, including prominent international architecture schools worldwide, like Chezklovakia, Japan, Thailand, India, Indonesia, Egypt, Vienna, US, China and the UK, as well as the B40 community, to encourage a sustainable living environment in society

Nazmi Anuar is a partner at the research practice E9A and teaches at the School of Architecture, Building and Design, Taylor’s University. His research interest is in the relationship between architectural form and the city. Nazmi Anuar holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) and a Postgraduate Masters in Architecture and Urban Design from The Berlage, TU Delft. He is the author of the book Background Frame Platform (2021) and co-author (with E9A) of the upcoming book Between Rail and River: Notes In Time On Kluang (2025).

Since 2018, Asst. Prof. Dr. Antika Sawadsri has served as the Dean of the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at King Mongkut's Institute of Technology Ladkrabang (KMITL), Bangkok, Thailand. With a PhD in Architecture, Planning, and Landscape from Newcastle University, UK, she is dedicated to promoting inclusive and sustainable design that addresses contemporary urban challenges. Dr. Antika’s work integrates innovation and collaboration to create resilient, community-focused spaces. Under her leadership, the School emphasizes interdisciplinary learning, blending digital advancements and design thinking to tackle social, economic, and environmental issues. Her notable initiatives include founding the Inclusive Design Center (2016), which improves quality of life through accessible design, and leading projects like “Chao Phraya for All” that exemplify architecture’s transformative role in shaping inclusive cities. Recognized both nationally and internationally, Dr. Antika has delivered numerous talks on integrating humanity-centered design processes into architecture, highlighting the evolving role of architects as innovators and mediators of multidisciplinary knowledge.

Lim In Chong (Inch) is a renowned Malaysian landscape designer known for his deep knowledge of tropical plants and innovative, multi-layered designs. Founder of Inchscape Sdn. Bhd., he blends native flora with local materials to create ecologically rich environments. With over 40 years of experience, Inch’s work spans Malaysia and abroad, including the UK, USA, Japan, and China. His acclaimed projects like ‘Tropical Spice Garden’ and ‘The Womb’ have won top awards at global garden shows, such as ‘Gold Award for Overall Category and Best Design Award for Special Feature Category’ in the prestigious Shenzhen Bougainvillea Show 2020, and ‘Best Design Award’ in China Flower Expo Garden in Shanghai 2021.

Drawing from graduate and postgraduate degrees in Architecture and Art History from the United States, followed by ten years of corporate experience in Malaysia, Kevin established smallprojects in 2002 and has worked alone since. He teaches and lectures internationally, and his work and writing have been published regionally and in the United States, Japan and Europe.

Leewardists is a creative architectural storytelling collective founded in 2015 by Anuj Kale, with Shreya Khandekar joining as a partner in 2018. What started as a passion project has become a unique voice in the architecture and urban design community. By blending humor with insightful commentary, Leewardists uses the simplicity of comics to make complex design ideas accessible and engaging. Their work sparks meaningful conversations among architects, students, and the public. Leewardists’ mission is to bridge the gap between architects and the public through storytelling.

Rabbani Sujak is a visionary production designer and art director whose creative journey began at the crossroads of architecture and storytelling. Celebrated for his bold visuals and unconventional palette, Rabbani has worked on iconic projects such as Yuna’s Forevermore, and Joe Flizzow’s Satu Malam Di Temasek, which won two awards in Budapest at the 2022 International Music Video Awards. His production design for ImagiNur earned a 33rd Festival Filem Malaysia 2024 nomination, while his films have premiered at international festivals like IFF Rotterdam and Far East Film Festival 2024. Rabbani was featured in Prestige 40 Under 40 in 2023 as the next wave of artistic minds in Malaysian entertainment.

Hui-Hsin Liao leads high-profile projects in Asia, focusing on urban regeneration and culturally sensitive design. Liao frequently lectures at universities and international conferences, discussing topics such as future cities, aesthetics, and culture. With considerable experience leading a wide range of projects in all stages of design and execution, from libraries, to urban plans, to open-air markets, and exhibitions, Liao’s exceptional project work demonstrates her clear dedication to design excellence. Liao’s diligence in ensuring a transparent, and collaborative work process with clients has resulted in MVRDV’s growing portfolio in Taiwan.

As Partner and Director of Strategy at MVRDV, Knikker drives Business Development and Public Relations efforts, spearheading a large and dynamic studio that also includes the office’s visualization capacity. He further leads the office’s branding efforts, and MVRDV’s expansion into new markets, by supporting the office’s ambition to generate solutions to global challenges through a multifaceted approach to architecture and urbanism. In addition to his extensive public relations work, Knikker has written and contributed to numerous MVRDV publications and exhibitions, including MVRDV Buildings.

Abd Muluk Bin Abd Manan is a seasoned architect with a wealth of experience and a solid educational background. He obtained his Diploma in Architecture (LAM Part 1) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Shah Alam, in 1990, followed by an Advanced Diploma in Architecture (LAM Part 2) in 1995. Over the years, Abd Muluk has held diverse roles within the architectural field, ranging from Design and Project Architect to Project Manager, showcasing his versatility and expertise. His professional journey includes stints with reputable companies, such as Kumpulan Arkitek Zulkifli dan Tan, Legase Cipta (M) Sdn Bhd. in association with S. Azlan Architect, SA Architects Sdn Bhd, YTS Architecture Sdn Bhd, and ATSA Architects Sdn Bhd. In 2012, he assumed the position of General Manager (GM) at 8nergy Wheels Sdn Bhd, a CIDB Registered Grade G7 company specializing in contracting. Under his leadership, the company successfully undertook projects, including site preparation and civil work for the proposed integrated petrochemical complex in Port Dickson, among others in Peninsular Malaysia and Sabah.

Kamelia Jambari obtained her Part 1 in architecture from The Institute Of Technology, Kyoto, Japan, and Part 2 in architecture from the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. She did her internship at Ken Nagao & Associates in Kobe, Japan in 2007. She then worked as a graduate architect with Juteras Design Workshop, a design and build company from 2011 to 2018. Later she pursued her career as a senior architect at IBUKU, a leading design and build bamboo company in Bali, Indonesia from 2018 to 2020. In 2020, she founded Studio Ti.Tinta, an architectural and interior design studio. It becomes the platform where she can share her passion for design with clients from various backgrounds.

Ar. IDr. Tee Khay Mee takes a holistic approach, seamlessly integrating people, buildings, and nature in her works. Driven by her role as a GBI Facilitator and GreenRE Accredited Professional, her practice in architecture and interior design prioritizes sustainable innovation and quality design details, striving to create functional, environmentally responsible, and aesthetic spaces. She holds degrees in Architecture and a Master in Project Management, blending creative design with efficient project execution to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions across diverse development projects. With over six years of part-time lecturing and regular involvement in design reviews at universities, she bridges academia and industry as an Industry Fellow for universities, contributing both.

June Chow is an architect based in Perak, Malaysia, at the forefront of integrating Generative AI into architectural design. She is recognized for revolutionizing the design process with AI tools and is a top AI creator on LinkedIn. As an AI trainer, June has collaborated with architects globally to enhance their use of AI in design ideation and visualization. Recent projects include envisioning sustainable futures for communities using Large Language Models (LLMs), Deep Learning Models like Stable Diffusion and various Generative AI tools, collaborating with researchers to design resilient urban models, and working with a team of European solar panel experts to create sustainable urban structures such as EV stations and City Pods. June has delivered workshops on AI in architecture, published the ebook ""Generative AI for Architects,"" and is actively training architecture professionals. She has also spoken at global forums such as the 1st Global Seminar of Designing with Emerging Technologies by the Polytechnic University of Milan. With her extensive background in AI-driven design, June brings a new concept of AI-chitecture, empowering architects to rethink and innovate within their fields

His main goal is to become a successful architect that contributes to the well being of society through architectural expertise; guided by principles and ethics. Most notable recognition is his involvement in Tamarind Square, Malaysia which won the PAM Gold Award for Design Excellence in 2019. He believes putting things in its rightful place is the essence of Architecture. His perspective of the built environment is represented as an incomplete puzzle board. Architects' role is to piece them together. He views himself as the architect who continuously creates unique pieces and add into any missing piece left void of sense.

Axxu specializes in healthcare and sustainable building design. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Malaya and a Master’s in Architecture from Edinburgh University, later furthering his research in Integrated Sustainable Design at NUS, Singapore. In 2021, he founded Axial Design Architects (ADA) He also teaches sustainable design at Taylor’s University and conducts training on green architecture. Axxu has gained extensive international experience, working on projects in the UK, Hong Kong, China, and Malaysia.

He is a passionate advocate for AI and sustainable design and is known for his use of AI in his work. Ar. IDr. Nur Safuraa Abd Razak is a multidisciplinary architect and interior designer with over a decade of experience, primarily with AbRaz Arkitek. She recently founded NU-SA Architect, where she takes a holistic, user-centric approach to design, blending architecture, interior design, and branding. Holding a Master’s in Architecture from RMIT and international experience from Berlin TU and Innsbruck University, she brings a global perspective to her work. Currently a council member of MIID and chairperson of #IamReka, she is passionate about Physical Experience Design (PXD) and Spatial Branding, creating transformative spaces that enhance user experiences.

Leong Wei Theng is an interior designer with over 12 years of experience in development services. She studied Interior Architecture & Design at KBU International College in collaboration with Nottingham Trent University. Currently with Metrics Global, she specializes in crafting innovative design proposals for property developments, contributing to projects that have earned international recognition. Skilled in managing complex projects from concept to completion, she is now pursuing a Master of Design Management to further integrate creative and strategic thinking. Passionate about sustainability and functionality, she is committed to designing inspiring spaces.

With a considerable amount of experience working with an established and award-winning interior design studio, Geoffrey Thomas Associates for more than 6 years in creative approach and input on solving spatial problems, now Principal of Keem Mazni Interiors, he started to expand his artistic skills and demonstrates the idea of layering which curates the space that communicates artistically. Currently registered with Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia as a Registered Interior Designer, Keem Mazni is now preparing for his next journey to explore more opportunities and expand his repertoire, and create dynamic by producing arts and design related to the interior design world. The variety of styles defines Keem Mazni as a young and visionary interior design marvel and spatial practitioner, as a reflection of his capability to work within the history of space and architectural features.

Jun Ong is a Kuala Lumpur-based light artist. His works manipulate artificial light to affect the way we experience the built form. Using light and innovative materiality, his studio explores sensorial deprivation and performative illumination to build a connection between psychology, technology and our humanistic perception of the universe at large. He has collaborated with individuals from various fields such as interactive programmers, architects, quantum physicists and sound artists. He has participated in light festivals and public art commissions in Amsterdam, Oregon, Taipei, Shenzhen, Singapore and Bangkok. His work “STAR” installation in Penang was nominated for World’s Best in Spatial Art at the Media Architecture Biennale (2016).

Pek Har co-founded Web Structures’ Kuala Lumpur office in 2004 with Dr. Hossein Rezai, building its reputation in Malaysia until its acquisition by Ramboll in 2020. After leaving Ramboll in 2024, she continues her passion for creating elegant structures that blend architecture and engineering. Her notable works include The Troika with Foster + Partners, Grand Hyatt with WATG Seattle and GDP Architects, EQ Hotel, Bank Negara’s Asian School of Business and AICB, Bukit Bintang City Center, and Mediacity Angkasapuri. A highly respected figure in the design and built environment across Asia. She has been engaged with and high profile projects in Malaysia and beyond. Ar. Ts. IDr Rien Tan is the director of TKCA Architects S/B, with a background of international experience in Osaka, Taipei, & New York. He is currently a Council member of the Malaysian Institute of Architects and YSEALI Professional Fellow with the US Green Building Council. He was recognized as one of Malaysia’s top 40 under 40 emerging architects. TKCA has earned multiple prestigious awards, including the UIA 2030 Awards, Seoul Design Awards, Taiwan Golden Pin Design Awards, Malaysian Construction Industry Excellence Awards (MCIEA), PAM Awards and Creative Colour Awards.
