VIBES KL : VIBRANCY AND DIVERSITY EXHIBITION WAS LAUNCHED
at KLAF 2024 (KUALA LUMPUR ARCHITECTURE FESTIVAL 2024)
WITH A PAINTING PERFORMANCE FOR WORLD ARCHITECTURE DAY 2024

The event commemorated World Architecture Day 2024 which fall on the first Monday of October. This occasion forms part of the KLAF 2024 Programme.
The Exhibition, “Vibes KL: Vibrancy and Diversity” encapsulates the essence of the city that has built a thick crust for itself. There isn’t an overarching logical curation of the exhibition except that it captures the randomness and vibrancy of people. Just as the buildings are varied and largely disorderly in downtown Kuala Lumpur, each person is a life on her own, each life being vibrant and each having a story to tell.
Photographs, illustrations and artworks are the medium that capture the spirit of life and each of these works require an immersion into the human spirit behind the work. The works require a sacrifice of time by the viewers as is the case in the normal course of living.
This active participation comprise of Architects, Artists, Photographers, Graphic Designers and Illustrators and form the intersection of creativity encompassing various disciplines and perspectives under the theme of Vibes KL: Vibrancy and Diversity. Open to the public.
Exhibits are displayed on various floors of PAM Centre which carry a theme:-
6 Floor - JIWA /Soul Artists Ahmad Fuad Osman, Izzati Shahrin, Stephanie Tam and Ceramic Artist LiLeng Wong.
5 Floor - CERIA/Happy Architect Firadaus Khazis, Illustrator Lisa Goh and William Chew and Adibah Awang
4 Floor – KATA/Say Graphic Designers Kamarul Izam, Joanne Wong,
Textile Designer Shan Shan Lim and Students from TAR UMT
3 Floor - RASA/Feel Street Photographer Edmond Leong
2 Floor - SUARA/Voices Colour ink painting by Jalaini Abu Hassan and Stephen Menon
1 Floor - JALAN/Street Photography by Azul Adnan and Kenny Loh
Film maker Izmer Hamdan
G Floor - TEMU / Meet 12 Pavilions at Lake Titiwangsa are showcased at the exhibition in the form of photographs. Pavilions can be visited at Lake Titiwangsa until 30 December 2024. After which they will be dismantled and the grounds to be returned to its original.
