Pavilions At Lake Titiwangsa Artistry in the Park

Lake Titiwangsa Park is an exceedingly popular park in Kuala Lumpur, where every weekend, it attracts 10,000 - 15,000 visitors.
The park is the pride of Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur (DBKL) – City Hall Kuala Lumpur. Its location is unique because the surrounding context ranges from high-income to low-income communities. Some of the country’s eminent institutions are lined along the southern fringe of the park, including the National Theatre, National Art Gallery and National Library, as well as the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
The eastern backdrop of the park is the Kuala Lumpur city skyline with many of its notable towers within view.
It is the first time that featured architectural pavilions are set up in Kuala Lumpur, which is located at the centre of the park. The pavilions are selected from a shortlist, from an open invitation.
It is an opportunity for members of PAM, including practitioners, non-practitioners and students to showcase their verve and creativity and make their pavilions interactive with the public. It is a gift, almost, from PAM members, along with their sponsors for public benefit and to enlarge the creative milieu. The criteria for selection are: innovative, low-carbon footprint, and interactive, on a footprint of 10 sq. m. The pavilions would be on display from mid-June to December 2024, thereafter they would be dismantled and the grounds returned to original.
