National Textile Museum

National Textile Museum

The National Textile Museum, housed in a historic Mughal-style building on Merdeka Square in Kuala Lumpur, showcases Malaysia's rich textile heritage. Designed by AB Hubback in 1905 for the FMS Railway Office, the building served various purposes before becoming a museum in 2010. Divided into four galleries over two floors, the museum explores the origins and techniques of textile making, featuring displays of calendering, embroidery, batik, and traditional Malay costumes.
